"If you do not change direction, you may end up where you're going." -Lao Tzu, Taoist
Let's talk about changing your life. In fact, this is why you've chosen to read past the subtext and click on the link that carried you to this post, wasn't it? Change in life is inevitable. Much like the Earth's rotation, or the aging body, change is constantly occurring on a low level in the very same way. We often neglect to notice that while change can feel dramatic and momentous, it is truly a result of low level actions that gain enough momentum to eventually force a shift. A shift that may even knock us back to where we started (or nudge us into a new environment). This shift, regardless of it's outcome, is where the magic is hidden. You know the odd, yet comforting, allure of a mechanized fortune telling machine? We're drawn to these items because they give us a shift to work with. A fortune teller machine is not entertaining because it eats quarters or gives us a card with information on it. What we're really interested in is how it changes us afterwards. We've faced a new piece of information (or a good scare), reminding us that no matter the experience, we are forever changed as a result. |
Lastly, if you're a thrill seeker and love your shifts while you execute ideas and dreams without the process, it's likely that you will stumble and scrape your knee on every unexpected turmoil. It's like sprinting on a Whack-A-Mole board and getting hit with every mole that pops up: these are your deep rooted obstacles that you failed to acknowledge before heading out the door toward your dreams.
In an ideal world, we would all shift, process, and do automatically without any issue. As humans, imperfections and challenges are what strengthen our resolve and fill our hearts with passion and ambition. By working with a life coach, psychiatrist or licensed professional in energy work, any wind in your sails can be used to your advantage the next time you embark on your ship of dreams.
Are you ready to change your life?
